Why didn't I receive my verification email?
The various but fixable reasons you didn't receive a verification email
After creating your account, you’ll need to verify your email in order to start making full use of Stark. Why, you ask?
- It lets us know that the email address you entered when you signed up is typo-free, and definitely belongs to you.
- Security measures! Verifying helps to prevent someone from using a Stark account with an email that doesn't belong to them.
- Doing so helps us to better assist you if you need support.
As for why you wouldn't have received one, there are two reasons:
Verifying with Google oAuth
If you created your Stark account via Google oAuth you will automatically be verified, and therefore, not receive a verification email.
Technical hiccups with a local account
Mail, despite being on the internet forever, is still not sound. If you created a local account (by setting your own email and password), but still haven’t received your verification email, be sure to check your spam folder. If this is the first email you’re receiving from us, the mail client may not know it’s necessary to you.
We know, you probably did already! But we still have to specify.
