Resetting your password

The different ways to reset your password


A window instructing users to enter their email in a field provided, so that Stark can send a link to reset their password.

Forgot your password? Follow these steps to reset it:

  1. Navigate to the Stark sign in page.
  2. Click on the Forgot password? link under the Password input field.
  3. Enter the email associated with your account.
  4. Click Send password reset email

Stark will then send a link the email address you provided, allowing you to reset your password.

Before resetting your password, double check that you didn't originally create your account with Google oAuth (aka Sign up with Google). That can be the reason you're unable to access your account.

SSO (single sign-on)

If your team uses SSO for your Stark Team plan, then you're not able to reset your password with Stark, as it's controlled through your SSO provider. Reach out to your IT admin if you're having trouble logging in.

Too many requests will lock your account

More than 10 reset requests in a day results in the password reset request feature being blocked for 24 hours.

This only applies to the request for a new link, not the actual form submission. In other words, if you still have an email containing a valid password reset token, you can still use it to attempt to reset your password!
