How to install Stark

The different ways to install the full suite of Stark tools. For your design tool, and your browser.

Installing Stark to your design tool

Stark is currently available for Figma, Sketch, and your browser extension. To install Stark to your design tool, follow these steps.

Installing Stark for Figma

Download Stark for Figma directly from the Figma Community

You can also install Stark by following these steps:

  1. Open Figma, navigate to the left-side panel, and click on Community.
  2. Search "Stark" in the top search bar
  3. Switch to the Plugins tab on the results page
  4. Choose Stark from the list

Once you’re on the Stark plugin page, Try it out.

When you’re in a design file, navigate to Plugins in your top menu bar and you’ll find Stark ready to use.

Installing Stark for Sketch

There are two ways to access and get started with Stark in Sketch:

  1. Manually install the plugin
  2. Use a plugin manager like Sketch Runner, Sketchpacks, or Sketch Toolbox

Manually Installing Stark for Sketch

To manually install and use Stark for Sketch, first, download this .zip file.

  1. Navigate to wherever your file downloaded on your computer (usually Downloads)
  2. Extract and open the downloaded folder
  3. Double-click the Stark.sketchplugin file

You’ll now find Stark under Plugins in the top menu bar and Sketch will automatically inform you when we push updates.

Using a Plugin Manager like Sketch Runner

Installing Stark using Sketch Runner.

Install Stark with Sketch Runner by following these steps:

  1. Open Sketch and then open a design file
  2. Navigate to Plugins in the top menu bar
  3. Choose Runner ProInstall, and then search for “Stark”.
  4. Press Enter to select, and then click Get.

Once installed, Sketch Runner will keep Stark up to date.

Installing Stark in your browser

The Stark browser extension is available for Chrome, Brave,  Microsoft Edge, Safari, and Firefox. To install Stark on your browser, follow these steps.

Download Stark for Chrome directly from the Chrome Web Store.

You can also find Stark by following these steps:

  1. Open a new tab in Chrome and click on the three-dot menu in the top-right corner
  2. Go to More Tools > Extensions
  3. Open the menu in the top-left corner and click the Open Chrome Web Store link at the bottom
  4. In the search bar, search “Stark”

Once you’re on the Stark extension page, click Add to Chrome > Add Extension, and Stark will appear in the Extensions section of your browser. Pin Stark in your browser to make it easier to open when working.

Installing Stark for Brave

Download Stark for Brave directly from the Chrome Web Store. Brave uses the same web store as Chrome, so any Chrome extension will work in the Brave browser.

You can also find Stark by following these steps:

  1. Open a new tab in Brave and click on the three-lined menu in the upper right corner
  2. Go to Extensions
  3. Find extensions and themes in the Web Store will prompt you to click Web Store. This will open the Chrome Web Store.
  4. In the search bar, search “Stark”

Once you’re on the Stark extension page, click Add to Brave > Add Extension, and Stark will appear in the Extensions section of your browser. Pin Stark in your browser to make it easier to open when working.

Installing Stark for Edge

Download Stark for Edge directly from the Chrome Web Store. Edge shares the same web store as Chrome so any Chrome extension will work in the Edge browser.

You can also find Stark by following these steps:

  1. Open a new tab in Edge and click on the puzzle piece icon in the upper right corner
  2. Select Manage Extensions
  3. At the bottom of the page you will see a link for the Chrome Web Store
  4. In the search bar, search “Stark”

Once you’re on the Stark extension page, click Add to Chrome > Add Extension, and Stark will appear in the Extensions section of your browser. Pin Stark in your browser to make it easier to open when working.

Installing Stark for Safari

Download Stark for Safari directly from the Mac App Store.

You can also find Stark by following these steps:

  1. Open the Mac App Store
  2. Search “Stark for Safari”
  3. Click Get
  4. When the download is complete, click Open

Stark will now appear in Safari next to your search bar.

Installing Stark for Arc

Download Stark for Arc directly from the Chrome Web Store. Arc uses the same web store as Chrome, so any Chrome extension will work in the Arc browser.

You can also find Stark by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to Extensions in your toolbar
  2. Select Add Extension...
  3. Search “Stark”

Once you’re on the Stark extension page, click Add to Chrome > Add Extension, and Stark will appear in the Extensions section of your browser. Pin Stark in your browser to make it easier to open when working.

Installing Stark for Firefox

Download Stark for Firefox directly from the Firefox Browser Add-ons.

You can also find Stark by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to Extensions in your toolbar
  2. Select Manage Extensions...
  3. Search “Stark”

Once you’re on the Stark extension page, click Add to Firefox > Add Extension, and Stark will appear in the Extensions section of your browser. Pin Stark in your browser to make it easier to open when working.
